Market Operations Analyst (APAC/Europe Session)

Role Description:

As a Market Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring Quantiq’s live trading environment. You’ll help oversee and support live trading activity during the Asian, European, and/or US trading sessions. Your insights into the relationship between data, and market behavior will help shape operational decisions and contribute directly to the success of our overnight trading strategies. Schedule:

Quantiq operates a 23/6, follow-the-sun trading model across global markets. Market Operations Analysts are expected to support this model by working within designated trading sessions and maintaining reliable coverage during their scheduled hours.

This position is primarily aligned with U.S. trading sessions, with occasional rotation into APAC and European hours:

• APAC hours: 4:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.
• European hours: 12:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
• U.S. hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze markets and news-flow to optimize existing trading operations
• Calculate daily P&L and position balances
• Collaborate with the tech team to identify and resolve production issues
• Support the release of new algorithms by responding and documenting unusual behaviors or market conditions

Qualifications:

• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and adaptable team player
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn about financial systems
• Advanced experience in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years experience in an analytical field or comparable detail oriented environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Math, CS, Engineering, Physics, etc.)
• Experience in Python, R, MATLAB or comparable coding language
• Strong knowledge of Linux
