AI Engineer – Internal Automation (Forward Deployed)

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer to accelerate Fever's company-wide AI transformation from the inside out. This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role for someone who thrives embedded with business teams — not behind a backlog.

You will sit with teams across Operations, Creative, Support, and beyond, shadow how they actually work, spot where AI can genuinely give them their time back, and then build the solution yourself: end to end, from discovery to production. You find the problem, decide what to build, build it, ship it, and make sure it sticks.

We trust your judgment. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy, and we expect you to use it: identify what matters, make the call, and own the outcome.

What You'll Do

• Embed with business teams — shadow real workflows, spot where AI can remove genuine pain (not from a spec, from the field).
• Design and ship AI systems — LLM applications, agents, RAG pipelines, chatbots, automated workflows that solve it.
• Own the full lifecycle — discovery, prototyping, production deployment, adoption. No handoffs.
• Measure and iterate — track the time and effort you're actually giving back, and refine based on real usage.
• Prioritize your own roadmap — you decide what's next; no one's assigning you tickets.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of software engineering, with hands-on production experience shipping AI systems — LLM frameworks like LangGraph or LlamaIndex, agentic workflows, or similar — not just prototypes or research.
• A track record of owning something end-to-end without a team behind you: you've been the discovery, the build, and the rollout on at least one project.
• Strong engineering foundations: Python, APIs, microservices, databases, AWS.
• Comfortable with ambiguity: given a business domain, you can figure out what to build without a brief.
• Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders — you can translate a messy manual process into a technical solution, and bring the team along with you.

This is an individual contributor role, not people management. You'll be part of a small AI enablement squad — collaborative day to day, but you'll own your own domains independently
